I’m a big believer that your relationship with money is one of the most sacred relationships you have. It goes to the core of who you are, how you value yourself, and what you perceive is possible for YOU.
And yes, money is spiritual.
I grew up loving money...holding it, saving it and spending it.
So I thought I was to become an accountant.
I learned money from the perspective of debits and credits, profit and loss, income statement and balance sheet. I flourished in the corporate world by all external standards – first as an accountant and then a communications consultant to top executives – but inside something was missing. I was being depleted, both spiritually and physically. All sorts of health issues, including auto-immune conditions, were showing up impacting my hormones, energy and daily functioning.
One day, a co-worker found me on the bathroom floor dizzy and exhausted. “Paula, this isn’t normal,” she pleaded. “Something’s got to change.”
I was numb...
So much of my life had been about ignoring how I was feeling physically and pushing forward.
From a young age, I learned to achieve at a high level to
prove my worth and feel love. My parents, God bless them, even bought me a t-shirt and book when I was 10 called “Stress for Success.”
As an adult, my body was saying NO.
My thyroid, adrenals, digestion and brain functioning were all telling me I needed a new path. I began a process of soulful
healing and found myself at the Centre for Positive Living around the time my mom passed away. Honestly, it felt like home. Concepts of the Universe, abundance, flow and energy felt like my long-forgotten first language. I was uncovering a spirituality that would shape my work and life.
As I began soulful women’s coaching, I found that my corporate work no longer felt aligned. It was lucrative, but didn’t support my health and happiness.
Some may think you’re crazy.
People thought I was crazy to give up my CA designation and become a coach. People, including my husband, worried I couldn’t make money coaching. But everything in me felt aligned with figuring out how. And I did!
The more I coached, the more I saw how money was this big stressor and obstacle. Women were trying to build businesses and make personal change, without addressing the big elephant in the room – your money story.
And how you do money is how you do everything.
Money affects every decision you make... whether you know it or not.
I see all the ways women, like you, may be blocking money in your lives. You may be playing small, hiding your talents or discounting your services. You may be winging things in your

- I currently live in Alberta, Canada with my husband, daughter and dog, Nasha. I love yoga, quiet mornings journaling, Nature walks, singing in harmony, chai tea, and staring at the moon in awe.
- Being the third of four girls, I grew up with strong family values and a dad who reminded me I could achieve whatever I set my mind to.
- I’ve been a performer all my life — dancing, singing, piano, figure skating. When I was 12, I danced for Queen Elizabeth in our small home town of Canora, Saskatchewan. Total thrill!
- Before my daughter was born, she came to me in a dream. I called out to her by name, even before her name was chosen. Yes, I believe in miracles!
- In my 30’s, I got strong intuitive guidance to have my first singer-songwriter concert. Six weeks later I was on stage. It was like channeling Spirit. WOW!
