If you saw my In Negotiations post, you know I’ve been busy. It may seem like a side-step from this Creating Space journey. But it’s not. In fact, it is THE JOURNEY. It’s truly the magic of what unfolds in the journey process, which I plan to do more of in 2011.
You see, I create these journeys as a way to bring to the surface what is holding us back. Yes, we assign ourselves a particular task, like creating space. And yes, we realize benefits from a tidier closet or drawer. But that is just the beginning of what is going on inside. It seems so simple, pick one thing and do it consistently for 30 days. Easy, right? Yet, if you’ve done these journeys with me before, you know, it isn’t always so easy. Many of us struggle to do something consistently for 30 days. Stuff shows up. Emotional stuff that we’ve been suppressing. And we need to give ourselves the space to process what surfaces. That’s the juice.
That’s what I’ve been doing the last two days. Honouring my felt resistance. Dialoguing with the voices inside that oppose. Getting her on my team instead of having her be my biggest obstacle.
When we are able to acknowledge and honour what surfaces, then we can truly move forward a more powerful and unified being.
That’s when breakthroughs occur. Like Magic.
