Spacious Day 14: Life is Good

Remember when I mentioned to look for what is ready to leave you? Well, we didn’t need to look far. At the start of this decluttering journey our washer squealed its last spin cycle. (Correction: I’m not actually sure it spun at all on its last trip, perhaps ‘smoke’ is a better word.) And then this past week Hanna phoned me to tell me she’s splashing around in the water on our kitchen floor from a leaky water cooler that lost its contents.

Normally, these things might phase me. But, because I’m so clear that what’s ready to leave will reveal itself (especially when I set that intention), I find this all a bit humerous. Today’s declutter was removing the old appliances from our garage and taking them to a small business owner who was thrilled to see the next addition to his store inventory, at zero cost to him.

My hubby and I both felt like we’d done a good deed today — clearing space and helping out someone else. In turn, we are excited with our new appliances that have more dials, flashing buttons and spin cycles then either of us know what to do with.

Life is Good.
