I had a dream once
and never doubted I could.
Until someone told me, Be realistic.
Their shadows became my story.
I had a dream once
I felt it deep in my soul.
But someone laughed at my passion
and my heart learned how to shield.
I had a dream once
and gave it all I could.
But my best wasn’t “good enough”
and I retraced in quiet shame.
I had a dream once
That one day things would change.
I could see the Master Plan,
That my past was just my prep.
I have a dream forming
that’s calling out my courage.
Its faith rings louder than fear
My knowings fill gaps of doubt.
I have a dream now
to live in such a way
that I forget all I “can’t do”
And inspire a circle of believers.
I plant a seed now
to those who hear the whisper.
My spirit reclaims her dance
My path returns to magic.
Dedicated to all souls who have dreamed, stumbled and are ready to rise again.
Love,
Paula
