In a Rut? Give Yourself a Pep Talk

Ever feel like you just need to pull yourself out of a rut and give yourself a pep talk?

Stuck in a RutI hear you. Sometimes, I notice myself more negative than my usual self. I judge more, and focus more on problems than possibilities.

Truthfully, I feel contracted and icky — signs it is time to shift.

If you feel pretty positive right now, my words may not resonate. But if you can relate, read on.

Whenever you or I get into patterns of negativity, a lack mindset, or misery of any sort, we’ve lost sight of our brilliance. We are living a limited version of ourselves. Our unruly inner children have taken over and frankly, it isn’t always pretty or our proudest moments.

When that’s the case, I give myself a pep talk. Here is a recent one of mine!

The Pep Talk I Gave Myself

(straight from my journal…)

Beautiful, this is your life. Stop complaining, and get creating.

Focusing on negativity and problems doesn’t create the life you want. It destroys it. You know this. You create your world and how brilliant it is. Yes, YOU!

If you want magic, step into it. If you want a stronger body, get moving. If you want greater abundance, create your plan, open to receive and go for it!

Nothing changes when you are sitting around hoping, or worse yet, complaining.

That’s a 110% waste of your beautiful energy. No exception. You get one life in this one body. Align your energy and take action.

Get back to basics — water, rest, greens and movement. Get back to intentions and gratitude. You know you feel so much better when you do.

Stop looking at others or letting what (you think) they are saying about you matter. What they think is purely a reflection of where they are at. NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

No one ever created a magical life pleasing others, while denying themselves.

Make it YOUR BUSINESS to be amazing.

You’ve got that inside you, I promise. Everything else is a distraction.

I love you for shifting. I love that you are willing to notice this funk and happily shed it. Don’t spend a second feeling badly or letting it define you. There isn’t a person in this world that doesn’t go through a funk at some point. What matters is how quickly you accept and move forward.

This funk has helped you see who you don’t want to be. NEXT!

This funk is helping you reach levels of success that require you to let go of all of the stuff in your way. CLEAR THE PATH!

Life is full of possibilities. See them. Get out there, deliver value, be a human angel, hug your family, and respect yourself enough to honour boundaries that keep you healthy, happy and free. Yes, FREE!

Seriously, who is really stopping you?

No one. No thing. (Just your mind, and you can change that!)

Stretch yourself to take steps every day, particularly the ones that scare you. Nothing changes until you expand beyond the current story you are telling yourself. And you are so ready for a new chapter, a new story…

Heck, a new book!

You’ve got this, beautiful. And I’ll be right there beside you, believing.

That’s who I am — a believer in abundance and possibilities.

Love,
Paula

P.S. Do you need to give yourself a pep talk? Borrow mine from above or write your own and then read it out loud to yourself in a strong, yet loving, voice. Sometimes your unruly inner children need some inspired guidance.
