What’s Your One Little Word for 2011?

I absolutely adore Lisa Leonard’s jewelry. I was introduced to her by Ali Edwards (another talented favorite blogger of mine) who started this great idea of “One Little Word” a few years back.  Together these two fabulous ladies inspire individuals to choose one little word that captures the essence of the person’s life for the upcoming year and Lisa’s displays it on a beautiful necklace as a reminder and source of inspiration.

I have admired this beautiful ritual for a couple of years. But this year, I’ve decided to do more than admire. I’m joining in.

Ali’s word for 2011 is light. She said the word chose her!  I’ve debated on my word. It’s a toss-up between “sparkle” and “believe”.

Need Ideas for your word? Here are a few.

Shine. Glow. Inspire. Begin. Love. Hope. Joy. Peace. Radiate. Beauty. Treasure. Precious. Live. Unfold. Blossom. Surrender. Serene. Adore. Embrace. Abundance. Grace. Forgive. Harmony. Balance. Finish.

I’m placing my order on January 5th. So if you live in the Calgary area and want to save on shipping, contact me and we can combine orders! Or you can order yours directly here. (Note that if you sign up for her newsletter, you get 15% off!)

  1. I picked up the idea of one word for a year last January in a blog series by Sarah Robinson (http://escaping-mediocrity.com). For me it is a kind of guideline, an umbrella for everything I am going to do this year. Or something I would like to achieve. And what a great idea to manifest it in a nice piece of jewelery.

    • Hi Kristin! Thanks for your comment. Yes, I love the idea of having my one little word appear on a beautiful piece of jewelry. Something that I can wear and take with me to remind me of its significance and my personal commitment to LIVING that word! Do you have your one little word picked out yet for 2011?
